Portfolio Manager – Infrastructure Investments

Vestcor has a full-time position available for a Portfolio Manager – Infrastructure Investments.

Located in Fredericton, Vestcor is the largest investment manager in Atlantic Canada providing global investment management services to ten different client groups representing approximately $21.0 billion in assets under management. We also provide administration services to eleven pension plans and four employee benefit plans.

The Portfolio Manager, Infrastructure Investments reports to the Vice President, Real Assets and manages client private infrastructure portfolios. The responsibilities of the position involve sourcing and evaluating investment opportunities to achieve the long-term investment strategy objectives of Vestcor clients. The incumbent will research, analyze, and underwrite infrastructure fund commitments and equity transactions, producing reports and detailed investment memoranda for transaction recommendations.

The ideal candidate will possess a university degree, with a graduate degree preferable (e.g., MBA) and at least five years of relevant investment experience. A professional designation is desirable (e.g. CFA, CPA). They should also be a team player with good interpersonal and networking skills with the ability and willingness to travel as required.

The successful candidate will be expected to work out of our office in Fredericton New Brunswick. They are driven by results and have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong problem-solving skills and an ability to manage long term projects in an unstructured and fast paced working environment are essential

Written and spoken competence in English is required, French language would be considered an asset.
