Our Team

Technology Services Group (TSG) powers BNY Mellon by providing scale, capacity, and capability to deliver the critical technology required to operate the global financial services markets.

TSG is defined by three core values:
  • Creative innovators, delivering excellence and simplicity

  • Fostering a collaborative, diverse and inclusive environment, where we challenge each other to execute as one TSG team

As part of TSG, our Architecture & Engineering team is:
  • Define enterprise technology architecture and engineering principles and best practices
  • Develop next-generation engineering solutions focused on Resiliency and Innovation
  • Engineer and integrate the critical systems and platforms used across the band and with external Clients

Role

RME is a state of the art, collaborative set of cloud native services that provide BNYM infrastructure systems and LOB applications with the capability to design, deploy and execute their entitlement policies. It provides a high-level declarative language that lets applications specify policy as code and use simple APIs to offload policy decision-making from your software.

RME is widely deployed within the firm's private cloud PaaS environment and is the standard/best-practice entitlements solution for the evolving BNYM public cloud initiative.

  • Promote, present and demo the team's products and services to prospective users communities, including senior tech leaders and business application teams.

Work alongside other engineers on the team to elevate technology and consistently apply best practices in all phases of the SDLC.
  • Provide ongoing maintenance, support and enhancements in existing systems and platforms. Provide recommendations for continuous improvement. Understands and manages the balance between functional evolution and technical currency (technical gain vs technical debt).
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with data engineers, business users, service clients, project managers and other engineers to achieve value-added solutions.
