Who we are looking for
This is a business and technical staff position responsible for managing and supporting all aspects of production Charles River IMS systems for multiple clients as part of Charles River SaaS Operations/Onboarding and SaaS strategy.

CRD helps create enterprise investment management software solutions for large institutions in the areas of institutional investment, wealth management and hedge funds. Together we have created first open front-to-back platform - State Street Alpha, that was launched in 2019.

What you will be responsible for
As Sr. SaaS Operations Technical Analyst you will
  • Responsible for ensuring efficiency, availability, and configuration of the Charles River SaaS platform by providing solutions based on sound technical knowledge.
  • Build tools to start, stop, configure, and monitor Charles River engines/Processes and to integrate them with standard monitoring/deployment tools.
  • Adopt, customize, and implement industry standard DevOps policies and DevOps procedures.
  • Create and maintain automated scripts that will build, configure, deploy, and test applications deployed to different environments, maintain, support, and enhance Charles River continuous integration environment.
  • Interact and work with multiple internal teams for client onboarding activity.
  • Work hands on with the system, installing and configuring it and testing that it meets the customer's technical and business requirements.
  • Support and interact with clients to setup onboarding and prepare client's Production Environment. Triage and analyze technical issues, including performance and connectivity issues.
  • Learn on the job and explore new technologies with little supervision.
  • Working with CRD colleagues to smoothly transition new clients to production operation.

What we value
  • Experience in managing and installing mission critical production software application in a SaaS environment.
  • Experience in DevOps (or related) technologies.
  • Working knowledge of any industry standard complex job automation technologies and proven skill to code complex job schedule.
  • Proven ability to work in a mission-critical operations and support environment.
  • Experience or familiarity with servers and networks is preferred.
  • Experience with SQL, MS SQL Server experience is preferred.
  • Understanding of Infrastructure as Service cloud providers such as Azure/AWS cloud is an advantage.
  • Periodic off-hours support for client go-live activities.

Education & Preferred Qualifications
  • 7+ years of experience and a Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline such as Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, MIC/CIS, etc.
  • Experience with automation using any scripting languages such as Python/Perl/PowerShell etc.
  • Experience with automation using any scripting and tools like Ansible, RunDeck, Puppet, Chef is a plus.
  • Excellent customer service skills, technical troubleshooting skills, and interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Database software or IT technical experience.
  • Previous experience with Charles River IMS or any other securities trading software is an advantage.
  • Any experience with the following is preferred: Web technologies, databases, server operating systems, servers, basic networking , job scheduling software, system monitoring software, clusters/high availability systems, Disaster Recovery/Business Continuity, FIX.
