The company and role:

We have partnered with our client on an exclusive basis to hire a Trainee Wealth Manager to support a senior Wealth Manager with their existing book of clients, enabling the Senior Manager to expand their remit and onboard further clients. Due to the business continuously growing, servicing an array of clients, the business are looking to expand their team in this hire.

The Trainee Wealth Manager would join the business on a clear growth progression plan that is tried and tested, enabling the chosen candidate to gain the required experience and carry out the necessary exams to become a wealth manager themselves.

The responsibilities:

  • Ensures that all current and new client account data is complete, upto-date and accurate at all times, this includes the writing and renewal of Investment Policy Statements.
  • Ensuring that all reports are reviewed for accuracy and completeness and sent in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for the production of reports and presentations for existing and prospective clients.
  • Manage quarterly fees and performance reporting.
  • Deal with client correspondence and queries and liaise with other departments to find resolution to investment administration queries raised by clients.
  • Attend client meetings where appropriate and as agreed, and participate by providing factual information and acting as the reference point for any administration queries.
  • Assist in preparing pitch presentations and other materials used in meetings with clients and actively build knowledge of the targeting process
  • Build a good working understanding of the Central Investment team proposition.


The ideal candidate will have the following attributes:

  • Have studied or be willing to study for the IAD and CWM
  • Good working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of products.
  • Commercially aware - keeps abreast of all relevant developments in the financial services industry and any regulatory changes which may affect the team.
  • Takes initiative for their own work within an understood framework of scope and authority.
  • Acts at all times in a professional manner.
  • Deals with all matters promptly, professionally and effectively without being reminded.
