Who we are looking for:
The State Street Tech Platform Engineering & Operations (TPEO) Executive Technology Group (ETG) is looking to fill a critically important position. We hope to find a proven, skilled, desktop technician who possesses strong interpersonal skill to help us deliver on our shared goals. They will focus on providing all aspects of technical support including desktop, mobile and AV needs to State Street executives, their executive assistants, and our Board of Directors. They should be able to work efficiently with teammates to deliver on their goals leveraging modern tools, technologies, and processes through simplification and automation while always providing superior service to our customers.

This role can be performed in a limited hybrid model but does require an onsite presence 3 to 4 days per week.

What you will be responsible for:
As a member of the ETG you will
  • Provide high quality, responsive technical expertise to all supported executives and their assistants.
  • Resolve any escalations and ensure that customers are kept informed of the problem resolution status at all times.
  • Build rapport with our customer base by eliciting any areas of concern our they may have and implementing resolutions where appropriate.
  • Share knowledge and provide mentoring to team members. Lead by example and strive to raise the skill level bar for the entire team.
  • Safeguard the technology environment by being proactive, preventing known problems, guarding against unknown threats, and responding to them with urgency.
  • Assist with creation of operational readiness documentation.
  • Ensure adherence to audit controls in a highly regulated environment with an eye towards risk excellence.
  • Stay current with technology trends and participate in guiding the future direction of new solutions.
  • Be equally comfortable presenting technical concepts to executives and troubleshooting technical issues alongside senior level engineers.

  • Must have strong interpersonal and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).
  • Ability to take control in a crisis situation, participating in calls, providing management updates, providing clear direction and assistance to relevant teams as needed.
  • Proven analytical mindset, ability to troubleshoot and make quick, accurate decisions in a high pressure environment.
  • Previous "hands on" experience with Microsoft Windows desktop technologies, Microsoft Office suite and Microsoft Cloud (365) Services etc.
  • Above average understanding of networking and corporate domain architecture.
  • Above average understanding of video conferencing software platforms and a basic understanding of video conferencing hardware.


Education & Preferred Qualifications
  • B.S. in computer science or equivalent technical degree.
  • 5+ years' experience providing hands on technical support directly to customers.
  • 10+ years performing desktop and project management tasks in a medium to large enterprise.
