As a Barclays Internal Auditor - Counterparty Credit Risk VP, you will be supporting the delivery of the Barclays internal audit plan. You will be the audit owner, covering wholesale credit risk management and/or counterparty credit risk management. With this, you will also write high quality audit reports and act as a Counterparty Credit Risk subject matter expert.

We are currently operating in a hybrid working environment, meaning that many colleagues spend part of their working hours at home and part in the office, depending on the nature of the role they are in. Please discuss the detail of the working pattern options for the role with the hiring manager.

What will you be doing?
• Execute and/or lead audits of (i) counterparty credit risk (including derivatives and securities financing transactions), (ii) credit risk management, and (iv) Funds & Hedge Funds
• Identify and assess risks and controls and assign testing to team members
• Ensure processes, risk and control assessments and observations are documented in line with BIA audit methodology
• Write high quality audit reports
• Promote a culture of efficiency through the use Agile and Automated Auditing techniques
• Provide complete, accurate and timely information for BIA reporting
• Act as a Counterparty Credit Risk subject matter expert in audit

What we're looking for:
• Solid understanding of the end-to-end credit lifecycle with experience of leading related audits/ reviews
• Excellent counterparty credit risk skillset with experience in auditing / risk managing Funds, Hedge Funds, Financial Institutions, and Non-Bank Financial Institutions
• Good understanding of derivative products
• Excellent communication skills, ability to communicate effectively to senior risk management (both technical and non-technical)

Skills that will help you in the role:
• Relevant professional qualification (e.g. FRM, CFA, ACA, ACCA or relevant post graduate degree)
• Solid understanding of the evolving regulatory environment (e.g. Capital Requirements Regulation, Federal Reserve Regulation, IFRS 9) and its challenges
• Experience with electronic trading, stress testing and loans products
