POSITION SUMMARY:
Morgan Stanley Wealth Management provides a range of wealth management products and
services for affluent individuals, businesses and institutions. Tax Services is a differentiated business within Morgan Stanley's Wealth Management division, providing critical services and solutions to Financial Advisors and clients across the country. The team is responsible for delivering a consistent, positive Financial Advisor experience to help ensure the seamless integration of tax-oriented solutions and services into the Financial Advisors' practices and clients' portfolios.
DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
The hire will work with the Tax Services team to support the tactical initiatives of that group, as well as
on the positioning of priority projects within the organization.

QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, and SKILLS:
Education and/or Experience
5+ years of work experience in a field relevant to the position required. Tax or accounting strongly background preferred.
Four-year college degree or professional certification

The hire will work with the Tax Services team to support the tactical initiatives of that group, as well as
on the positioning of priority projects within the organization.
This includes:
- Relationship Management:
- Serving as liaison between Morgan Stanley and 3rd party service providers (Tax Preparers, Big Four Accountancy firms, Asset Managers etc.)
- Liaising with internal partners (e.g. Marketing, Legal, Compliance, etc.) to drive the development of our marketing materials and program parameters for new initiatives
- Sales and Marketing:
- Representing the Tax Services team in field-facing events (branch presentation, industry organizations, etc.)
- Developing and coordinating the direct-to-client messaging promoting Tax Services capabilities
- Leveraging the topic of taxes to create new avenues for Financial Advisors to position Morgan Stanley's broad spectrum of available solutions
- Providing actionable observations and analysis on current tax planning trends and strategies
- Authoring whitepapers and sales presentations for consumption by Financial Advisors and clients
- Business and Project Management:
- Tracking solution usage and spearheading our business development activities, including developing engagement and adoption plans necessary to drive business penetration and adoption
- Communicating key tax industry insights and updates to senior management
- Understanding and synthesizing complex financial and tax concepts for senior management presentations
- Enhancing the integration of Tax Services within our broader Investment Solutions organization
- Performing competitive market analyses needed for the positioning and development of new business lines
- Performing quantitative analysis and modeling to support business projects
Qualifications:
QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, and SKILLS:

5+ years of work experience in a field relevant to the position required. Tax or accounting strongly background preferred.
Four-year college degree or professional certification
Knowledge/Skills
- Knowledge of tax and wealth management industry and investment products preferred
- Strong understanding of applicable tax code rules, regulations, and strategies
- CPA or CFP strongly preferred, and/or previous employment at a major tax/accounting firm
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Enjoys working with people and problem solving
- Able to work independently and effectively on a team
- Demonstrates leadership skills
- Detail-oriented with superior organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks
- Ability and interest in working in a fast-paced, evolving environment
