We also provide administration services to eleven pension plans and four employee benefit plans.

Due to a planned retirement, Vestcor is seeking an experienced executive to join its Fixed Income Team as its next Vice President, Fixed income. Working collaboratively with the Chief Investment Officer and senior investment team members, the Vice President, Fixed Income is responsible for oversight of the fixed income team. This includes providing direction and mentorship, meeting performance targets in compliance with investment policies and managing portfolio risks. The VP Fixed Income is directly responsible for managing a suite of traditional fixed income portfolios with the goal of adding value relative to their respective benchmarks, as well as contributing to the management of Vestcor’s alternative fixed income strategies. The fixed income team may also manage other more client specific portfolios as needed.

As the ideal candidate, you possess a demonstrated track record of success in managing value added fixed income strategies with a strong capability for leadership. A university degree- graduate degree preferred - in a relevant field and excellent technical knowledge of investment concepts and issues would be expected. A CFA designation as well as work experience within the institutional investment management and/or pension industries would be strong assets.

The successful candidate will be expected to work from our office in Fredericton New Brunswick. They are driven by results, have excellent leadership, team building, planning, presentation and communications skills and the ability to network and build relationships.

Written and spoken competence in English is required, French language would be considered an asset.
