Senior client facing role for a highly experienced individual contributor. The role will be responsible for 1) managing existing and developing new business relationships within the South China Region autonomously with minimal supervision; and 2) supporting the coverage of local intermediaries and establishing relationships with local government bodies and associations.

Scope
- Proactively manage the issuers relationships in the Southern China Region, including Guangdong, Guangxi, Hainan and Guizhou Province.
- Conduct Business Development in the region, bringing in new rating relationships and developing new market segments.
- Responsible for retaining existing customers and expanding the share of wallet by selling a tailored value proposition and proactively identify cross-sell opportunities.
- Active contribution to overall sales and marketing plans.
- Support Moody's new initiatives and any ad-hoc marketing campaigns
- Support the coverage of local intermediary relationships with rating advisors, debt capital market and coverage teams from leading investment banks and securities firms within the Greater China region.
- Able to build relationship with other market participants, including relevant government bodies, associations, and agencies.

Capabilities
- Good level of knowledge on financial instruments, key characteristics and dynamics of capital and credit markets
- Maintain active relationships with issuers at all levels (including C-suite executives) independently with minimal oversight.
- Effective negotiation and influencing skills.
- Ability to quickly grasp an understanding of Moody's products and services, contracts and general conduct of business.
- Ability to articulate and explain Moody's value proposition.
- Embraces the concept of full ownership of their customers and targets.
- Highly autonomous in achieving business objectives.
- Organize meetings with key market participants to better understand demand factors, shape value propositions and identify collaboration opportunities.
- Able to initiate and organize marketing events, such as roundtables and conferences.
- Work seamlessly with internal stakeholders, including analytical team, legal, compliance, regional management, marketing and events teams, etc.

- Willing to travel between Shenzhen and Hong Kong for regular team meetings with the Hong Kong Relationship Management team
- Good team player.

Academic Qualifications / Work Experience
- Strong relevant working experience in the finance industry.
- Familiarity and established network with key financial institutions, corporate and local state-owned entities in the Southern China Region.
- Degree from a reputable University, preferably in finance, accounting, business or economics.
- Fluent in English and Mandarin.
- Excellent presentation skills.
- Good English writing skills.
- Previous experience from the rating industry, debt capital markets or as a credit analyst is desired.
- Previous experience in sales & marketing is important.
