At CoBank, our Financial Sponsors Lead Relationship Manager / Executive Director manages overall relationships with Financial Sponsors and other non-traditional investors, whose investments are concentrated within the food, beverage, and agribusiness sectors.  Drives new relationship development with Financial Sponsors and responsible for maintaining and growing those relationships once established, including relationship profitability, up-tiering CoBank’s role and stature with each covered Financial Sponsor, and the credit quality of loans made to the Financial Sponsors’ portfolio businesses.  Collaborates closely with CoBank Capital Markets and CoBank Credit Approvals Group to design, structure, and pitch lead arranger or agency opportunities, and recommends credit decisions as appropriate.  Develops and implements marketing and account servicing plans to capitalize on transaction opportunities with Financial Sponsors and other non-traditional investors.  Develops and supports the business unit’s account management responsibilities.  Provides mentoring and coaching support to other staff. Identifies new business and financing opportunities, supports CoBank’s engagement of and collaboration with the Farm Credit System, and facilitates (in collaboration with CoBank Capital Markets and CoBank Legal Loan Processing) both primary loan origination and secondary loan trading activities with other banks and investors.  Works in conjunction with the business leaders in the Regional Agribusiness Banking Group and the Corporate Agribusiness Banking Group toward the achievement of business strategies and performance goals. Develops and advances their own individual assigned functional specialization.
