About this role

Description and Position Overview

The Regulatory Engagement and Development Compliance team is responsible for engaging with BlackRock's regulators across the Americas region, including examinations and inquiries, and providing management information related to such engagements for various internal and external reporting requirements. We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic candidate capable of functioning in an efficient, detail-oriented, and proactive manner, in a fast-paced environment. The candidate should be extremely motivated, eager to learn, a team player, resourceful, organized, communicative and able to proactively complete tasks independently with integrity and strong attention to detail.

The focus of the Analyst/Associate will be providing support for and assistance with various regulatory engagements, including examinations and inquiries of the various BlackRock regulated entities, maintenance of internal examination and inquiry tracking systems, and management information reporting processes. Further, the Analyst/Associate would also assist in the overall maintenance and ongoing enhancement of BlackRock's Regulatory Development program, including the monitoring and implementation of new and amended rules, and other industry developments.

Key Job Responsibilities
  • Assist senior compliance managers with regulatory engagements, including on-site exam coordination, document production and maintenance and reporting of related management information
  • Partner with team members to prepare and maintain management information reports for various compliance and business reporting purposes
  • Maintain internal tracking and monitoring tools related to Regulatory Engagement and Development to ensure accuracy across all management information reporting
  • Assist with maintenance and implementation of the Firm's policies & procedures related to Regulatory Engagement and Development processes
  • Various on-going initiatives and ad-hoc projects, as needed


Skills/Requirements:
  • BS/BA degree required
  • Candidate must be solutions-driven, confident, and highly motivated
  • Candidate must have excellent organizational, project management, strong analytical, and inter-personal skills
  • Candidate must be a team player who is able to handle multiple projects at a time and produce work product with impeccable integrity and attention to detail
  • 0-4 years' experience in compliance, legal or regulatory functions. Experience involving regulatory engagement is a strong plus
  • Candidate must observe the highest degree of confidentiality in the handling of sensitive information received in connection with their responsibilities
  • Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with business operations, human resources, corporate security; comfortable with communicating with all levels of staff
  • Strong technical proficiency in Windows applications (i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Experience with SmartSheet a plus

This position will be located in BlackRock's Princeton, New Jersey office.
