Will advise and support all aspects of tax and structuring for investment funds.
Liaise with the firm's partners and outside tax counsel and review organizational structure and tax positions on a quarterly basis with the firm's management.
A strong working knowledge of tax, corporate, partnership, and other private markets' law is required.
Responsibilities will include:
• Research and form complex organizational structures; Draft, review and negotiate private fund limited partnership agreements and associated agreements.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable securities and tax laws and regulations regarding specialized fund offerings.
• Understanding tax sensitivities.
• Collaboratively coordinate with internal key stakeholders across the firm.
• Advise on new relevant tax developments
• Other projects and tasks as they arise from time to time
Qualifications
• Juris Doctorate from accredited U.S. law school and licensed to practice in at least one state
• 7+ years of experience practicing tax law
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Strong interpersonal skills and a positive work ethic
• Proven analytical and organizational skills with the ability to handle projects from inception to conclusion
• Buyside investment management corporate setting experience preferred
• Able to handle detailed work on numerous projects and handling multiple structures
