Summary

Fantastic opportunity for a Python Developer to join a small, friendly team at one of the leading providers of sports betting brokerage software. Made up of research mathematicians, computer scientists and trading analysts, they have developed a flagship product - a state-of-the-art research and trading platform that allows clients to find and execute the best prices available.

In this role, you will be be part of developing the next-generation engine at the heart of the platform, writing high quality code to interact with external websites and APIs. You will develop features, fix bugs and carry out maintenance to keep on top of the rapidly changing market. You will also suggest and test improvements, interacting with colleagues using an agile methodology and tools (e.g. Scrum, Gitlab, Jira).

They mostly use Python, C++ and Erlang for the platform, with a wide range of other languages employed where appropriate. They are strong believers in open source and build the system on it wherever possible.

The successful Python Developer will be passionate about tech, be an expert communicator and love working collaboratively and productively in a team.

Skills & Experience Required
  • Strong commercial programming experience, or equivalent contributions to public projects
  • Demonstrable knowledge of object-oriented Python, particularly structured projects
  • Keen interest in the key protocols used on the internet
  • Good knowledge of Linux and Git

Desirable
  • C++ coding experience/knowledge
  • AWS familiarity
