Operations Intern

We are seeking to hire an operations intern at Kyma Capital, an investment firm established to invest in secondary securities of leverage corporates, focused on European stressed and distressed credit. Kyma will provide training /coaching and it intends on completion of a successful internship to make an offer for a permanent role as Operations Analyst. This is a great opportunity for a hard-working individual to gain work experience at a growing firm alongside high-impact experienced teammates.

Job Description

The operations analyst position is an opportunity to acquire experience within the operational engine of a hedge fund. You will be exposed to a variety of activities, including but not limited to, trade lifecycle, liaising with service providers (Custodians, Prime Brokers, Middle office) and will be supporting the internal teams with risk data (investment and marketing). (S)he will be reporting to the Chief Operating Officer. The role will be based in London.

Qualifications

We are looking to hire individuals who are highly motivated, organised, collaborative and thrives on challenge in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Familiarity with fixed income, CDS and equities instruments would be a plus.

Essential: -

Strong mathematical and analytical skills. - Excel proficiency. - Academic degree in a numerate discipline, finance, accounting, maths or business (bachelors/master); and/or working towards an accounting qualification ACCA/CIMA. Eligible to work in the UK. Salary and benefits Your internship is a volunteer activity whose principal purpose is to assist with your learning development. However, in recognition of your commitment and the outgoings you will necessarily incur whilst working in central London, we will pay to you a stipend per week, by way of contribution.
