Treliant is looking for a FRTB Senior Project Manager, to provide SME insight, support and constructive challenge on business initiatives, as part of a wider FRTB team.

About the role
  • Excellent Risk Management (BASEL - Credit, Market, and Operational Risk Capital Planning ), CCAR, IMS and GMS Capital Planning Methodologies, Volcker Rule, Sarbanes Oxley (SOX); Portfolio Risk (Credit Risk; Market risk across all assets, Obligor Risk Rating, Facility Risk Rating, Statement Forecasting, Stress Testing, PD) Trading - Order Entry, Trade Execution, Settlement and messaging concepts (Trade lifecycle, Straight through Processing and SWIFT).
  • Lead or participate in working groups, workshops and with stakeholders to understand business requirements, define project plans and manage timelines
  • Impart subject matter expertise by providing guidance, support and constructive challenge on business initiatives to ensure alignment with strategy
  • Assist in ensuring that all target state tools, processes and controls are socialized effectively and are approved at or by the appropriate governance forum or level
  • Identify synergies between programs to minimize delivery time and maximize adoption
  • Manage internal and external dependencies across initiatives, including working closely with Risk Managers, Product Owners, Front Office, Product Control and a variety of IT teams amongst others
  • Identify challenges and proactively seek to resolve or escalate risk and issues in a timely and well-articulated manner to the projects by engaging relevant stakeholders and PMs
  • Engage senior stakeholders continuously by escalating and resolving issues as they arise
  • Produce accurate and insightful project update materials and artifacts, tailoring to various forums and committees
  • Build strong relationships, adopting a joined up approach, to support the execution of programs
  • Experience with enterprise technology transformation projects within financial services, delivering data processing automation to meet regulatory reporting requirements such as Basel 3 IMM, CEM, SA-CCR, FRTB, XVA, Internal FICC controls.


Who are we looking for?

Qualifications & Experience
  • Strong educational background - Degree (CQF / Masters would be an advantage)
  • 7+ years experience in FRTB and Capital Markets, with particular subject matter expertise
  • Experienced Project Manager, ideally with certifications in PMP or equivalent
  • Experience managing data projects
  • Strong compliance and regulatory knowledge background
  • Detailed knowledge of trade lifecycle Fixed Income products and Interest Rates
  • Comfortable managing large and complex projects and teams
  • Experience with enterprise technology transformation projects within financial services, delivering data processing automation to meet regulatory reporting requirements such as Basel 3 IMM, CEM, SA-CCR, FRTB, XVA, Internal FICC controls.
  • Excellent communication skills across all levels of seniority
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with good relationship building and engagement skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint
