The Markets Division comprises HKEX's Sales & Marketing,Product Development and Emerging Business Development functions. Its keyresponsibilities include client relationship management, marketing, developmentof derivatives products, exchange traded products and structured products, andthe development of new businesses spanning digital, data, carbon & ESG andother areas. Its business spans across Hong Kong, mainland China and globally.The effective management of these functions requires the implementation ofrobust risk & control and governance best practices.
As part of the Markets Division, the Market Policy &Development Department empowers business growth with highly-integrated business& regulatory expertise. Its key mandates include leading new business &transaction structuring within the right control framework, driving policy& regulatory changes to support business growth, leading key businessinitiatives and providing solutions to complex issues. It also oversees theimplementation of best governance practices in the Markets Division.
The successful candidate will work proactively with internaland external stakeholders to deliver on the team's mandate.

Job Responsibilities:
- Work proactively with Markets Division colleagues to deliver on various business initiatives within the right control, governance and regulatory framework
- Provide support to the firms' mainland commodities and other businesses on control and regulatory-related matters, working closely with the LME and other teams
- Assess new business initiatives, provide solutions to achieve business results, manage and mitigate risks, and support sustainable business growth
- Assist the Markets Division in preventing and mitigating regulatory and reputational risks, and enhancing its governance standard on an ongoing basis
- Work closely with the Markets Division functions, as well as control functions of the firm, to develop and implement internal compliance and risk policies and the relevant control framework
Requirements:
- A minimum of 15 years of compliance, legal, regulatory or audit experience in an international financial institution, preferably with close interaction with sales & trading desks and regulators
- Excellent knowledge of the securities, futures and derivatives markets, and custody framework
- An advance degree in Law, Finance or Accounting
- Sound judgement
- Strong command of written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese & Putonghua). Candidates may be required to undertake a written test in English and Chinese
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paceenvironment
