We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Senior Manager - Retail Insurance Products, Global Insurance.

Principal Responsibilities
  • Support Head of Health, EB and GI products in the continued development and evolution of insurance group minimum standards and policies to align, where appropriate with bank distribution operating models, strategies and best practices
  • Management of general and health insurance product development pipelines and approval process as first line of defence
  • Oversee product review and monitor effectiveness of the agreed actions that emanate from these Insurance Product Reviews through established review and reporting frameworks
  • Work with country insurance entities or third-party partners in appropriate markets in supporting the development of the relevant general and health product strategies and initiatives
  • Collaborate or work on initiatives maximise the use of data analytics and insights, support product innovation, simplification, digitalisation, customer-centric and holistic proposition development, etc
  • Work on initiatives to support country best practices and build capabilities general and health product design/technical excellence, enhancements of product's underwriting, servicing and expertise, etc
  • Develop and maintain fit for purpose practical product development trackers and trackers for Insurance Product Reviews and maintain an up to date product inventory for purpose of yearly audit, cross country references and sharing
  • Collaborate and work with global and country teams which includes but not limited to insurance teams; bank proposition / distribution in WPB, CMB, EBS; Pinnacle as well as other relevant stakeholders / partners to manage / support strategic priorities implementation

Requirements
  • University Degree holder
  • Multi-skilled working experience related to general and health insurance, with exposure in areas such as product and proposition development, underwriting, reinsurance, risk consulting, commercial / marketing actuarial, applied insurance business planning, analysis or strategies consulting, etc
  • Possess relevant insurance qualifications such as Associateship/Fellowship of general insurance (ACII/FCII), chartered non-life / health insurance underwriting or equivalent professional qualification advantageous
  • Solid experience and track records in delivery of general and health insurance products, service development and related initiatives in Asia markets particularly HK, China and SG; and other international markets as advantageous
  • Familiarity and experience with multi-insurance channels (digital and non-digital) and bancassurance operations
  • Excellent communication, planning, presentation, implementation, execution and stakeholder management skills
  • An action taker with analytical thinking abilities, who manage and follow through details/tasks/initiatives
  • Ability to work in multicultural environment, with fluency in English. Working knowledge of Chinese or Spanish would be advantageous for local market interactions
