Core Responsibilities

As a Specialist in the Private Banking Operational Risk Management team, your role is to support the PB/TPC Business in implementing a safe and sound operating environment. Here are your core objectives:
  • Collaborate extensively with stakeholders to create, streamline, and review workflows and processes to address risk and control concerns.
  • Proactively partner with PB/TPC business teams to identify discovery of pain points and drive solutioning with stakeholders through review of incident reports.
  • Produce regular risk analyses and reporting for senior management presentations, operational risk profiling, and other risk & controls reporting requirements.
  • Apply analytics and data mining techniques where required and able to present MIS/data.
  • Organize and prepare presentation materials for various forums e.g. PB/TPC Business and Control Committee, Disciplinary Action Committee.
  • Develop risk and control awareness program/materials for PB/TPC business teams.
  • Apply programming skills to provide customized profit & loss statements to PB/TPC clients.
Requirements / Skillsets & Mindsets
  • Self-motivated and fast learner, able to work independently and multi-task under pressure.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills, highly meticulous, thinks strategically with a mindset of continuous improvement.
  • Strong analytical skills to review and analyze information or situations so as to identify and articulate the issues, systematically breakdown complex issues and propose well-structured solutions.
  • Mature and ability to work across different stakeholders and work teams, negotiating and communicating with management on complex issues.
  • Hands-on experience with Python programming, Tableau etc. and analyzing data.
  • Good understanding of banking terminology, products and operational processes.
  • Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Computer Science, Economics, Finance, or related discipline.
  • Minimum of 8 years' experience in process review or management reporting experience from the Banking industry.
