Software Engineer - Financial Markets
This is a fantastic opportunity for a junior software engineer to join a global financial markets firm that was founded in New York and works with some of the biggest investment banks, hedge funds, and asset managers.

Role
In this role, you will work alongside some industry leading engineers to help build out solutions which will support cross-asset trading and risk management products. As you will be working with local clients, someone with great communication skills is a must, as you will be required to gather relevant technical requirements and then deliver on these leveraging your technical knowledge.

In this role you can also expect to receive some excellent training and leadership from your leads/managers, who have come from tier 1 investment banks and exchanges. You will receive career development with multiple career pathways into an elite sector of the software industry where innovation is well rewarded.

Requirements
  • Strong object-oriented analysis, design, and development skills.
  • Good engineering experience with C#/.Net, but can also look at people from a Java, Python, or C++ background who are willing to learn.
  • Experience in SQL is desirable.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Any experience with cloud is desirable, but not necessary.
My client has big plans over the next 12 months to expand out their asset business in Australia, so there is some exciting project work coming up for an engineer to be a part of. If this sounds exciting to you, feel free to apply so we can arrange a time to speak about the role.
