The Analytics & Quantitative Solutions (AQS) team within the Aladdin Business is responsible for delivering high-impact solutions to our clients' most complex investment, risk and business challenges, as well as expanding and enhancing Aladdin's analytics capabilities through research and innovation, leveraging the collective intelligence of the Aladdin client community. Each team member is tasked with understanding market and investment practice trends along with client needs, and proactively offering new and comprehensive solutions leveraging Aladdin analytics and data.

We are actively seeking a Vice President to join a team within AQS focused on Asset-Liability Management (ALM) for insurance and pension clients. The ALM team brings insurance/pension industry ALM subject matter expertise to BRS and delivers value to ALM practitioners through ongoing client engagement and solution development. The individual will work directly with clients as well as various Aladdin partner teams, including: Client Engagement, Business Development, Product Management, and Engineering.

Key responsibilities:
  • Support the design, and execution of ALM solutions for insurance and pension clients, including: ALM Reporting & Analytics; Strategic Asset Allocation (SAA); Asset Adequacy Testing; and Regulatory / Rating Agency Capital Management
  • Engage with Aladdin clients to ensure ALM practitioners achieve value from Aladdin ALM solutions and capture the 'voice of the customer' to influence future ALM solutions and enhancements
  • Partner with Product Management and Engineering teams to develop products: articulate client needs; develop business requirements; support product design; develop examples / test cases; and perform User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
  • Partner with Client Engagement, Business Development, and Product Marketing teams to promote solutions and educate clients: deliver demos to existing clients and new prospects; develop thought leadership; and address client needs/questions
  • Lead the end-to-end design and implementation of tailored ALM solutions to solve client business problems
  • Mentor junior talent in AQS and partner teams

Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in financial services, risk management, financial technology, and/or consulting
  • Subject matter expertise and/or strong interest in some or all of the following: Asset-Liability Management (ALM); Insurance/Pensions; financial modeling (assets and/or liabilities); and risk/capital quantification and management
  • Experience developing models/analytics and working with scripting/programming languages (e.g., Python, SQL, R) is strongly preferred
  • Academic degree in Finance, Mathematics, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science, or other analytics-based field
  • CFA, FSA/ASA, and/or FRM designation is desirable though not required
  • Client-focused and the ability to convey complex concepts simply and clearly to clients
  • Ability to solve problems independently and as part of a large project team
