- Ensure trading systems are performing as intended
- Respond to trouble tickets raised by investment team or middle office personnel.
- Act as release manager for all software deployments
- Institute a proper change management process requiring test plans, back out scripts, user acceptance testing and post deployment testing.
- Coordinate with dev team on the release of new software in the environment.
- Develop relationships with business community and market data providers
- Prioritize issues raised and resolve them accordingly.
- Coordinate escalation and resolution of major service issues.
- Report promptly to management and business partners regarding critical outages until resolution.
- Manage off-shore, outsourced vendor to an SLA and execution of critical situations.
- Allocate resources to resolve problems/incidents.
- Provide regular status reports to management on application status and other metrics.
- Strong data analysis skills
- Able to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with various stakeholders across various teams
- Highly adaptable to a dynamic environment with a strong end-to-end ownership mentality of managing an issue from identification to resolution
- Must be flexible with work hours and/or expected to respond to and troubleshoot issues outside or core work hours
- Ability to work under pressure and deal with stressful situations
- Bachelor's degree in a finance related discipline
- 10+ years experience managing a global production support function
- Strong organizational, project management and problem-solving skills
- Technical skill set required, preferably with expertise in software development, QA, cloud and exposure to trading systems
- Knowledge of Linux, SQL Server and change management processes
- Experience with Azure DevOps, JIRA, AWS and Azure important
