About the job

Headquartered in Atlanta, EARNEST Partners is an investment management firm advising on over $25 billion in assets for clients around the world, including corporate pension plans, state and municipal pension plans, foundations, and endowments. We also manage portfolios for high-net-worth individuals through platforms of some of the largest broker dealers in the world.

This position is a great opportunity for someone who is detail-oriented with an affinity for numbers, and who enjoys improving processes, coordinating with third parties, and interacting with all aspects of our firm.

We are looking for a detail-oriented, entrepreneurial and motivated colleague to join our team. You will join the firm's diverse and talented professionals in managing a variety of initiatives. You will thrive in this role if you are a forward-thinking individual who enjoys critical analysis and identifying and eradicating inefficiencies in a fast-paced data-driven, technology-rich environment. The right individual can grow significantly with time and experience at EARNEST Partners.

We would like our future colleague to thrive through teamwork and contribute with diversity of thought. We value co-workers with a strong desire to contribute to the overall success of our clients and EARNEST Partners.

Core responsibilities
  • Key member of the financial team at EARNEST Partners with direct interaction with the CEO and senior management of the firm
  • Responsible for accounts payable, our monthly and quarterly billing processes and interacting with clients, custodians and other third parties
  • Running our accounts payable processes, managing vendor contracts and coordinating internally and externally on new contracts, terminations and renewals
  • Reconciliation of cash accounts and the general ledger
  • Processing reporting requests and satisfying general reporting requirements
  • Continually improving our processes and systems

Ideal candidate qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree (preferably with a focus on operations, finance, accounting, business administration marketing or similar field)
  • Excellent oral, written, analytical, and communications skills
  • Great organizational skills and ability to effectively handle multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline driven environment
  • Self-motivated, curious, results oriented, attention to detail and dedicated to completing tasks and resolving issues
  • Experience with Quickbooks or other accounting systems
  • Strong knowledge of MS Excel and Word
  • Working experience in the asset management industry in general and with Advent Geneva is a plus
