Specialist, Project Manager Corporate Technology

Overview

Portfolio Management guides business performance by applying governance and discipline across our division to achieve positive results. We also serve as trusted advisors to our constituents and deliver solutions that advance corporate operations at BNY Mellon. This individual will work on highly visible projects and programs in support of Corporate Technology.

Program Management Purpose

• Lead a wide array of activities associated with project planning and delivery to ensure that initiatives are delivered on time, on budget, and to specifications
• Manage and oversee end to end project activities such as project planning, project reporting, issue and risk management, and governance
• Coordinate resources across organizational and geographic boundaries
• Implement new business initiatives and strategic initiatives, including aligning department and support groups (HR, Legal, Finance, Risk, Technology, and Compliance)
• Identify, escalate, and mitigate business risks that could impair our ability to do business
• Manage communications at a detailed functional level
• Ensure project delivery is in conformance to BNY Mellon delivery lifecycle

Qualifications

• Program/Project Management experience
• Experience with Agile and Waterfall methodologies
• Motivated self-starter with excellent time management/prioritization skills
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, strong knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint
• Able to forge trusted internal relationships across a broad range of functions
• Self-motivated, tenacious, and able to work with high degree of independence
• Present well to senior management with ability to communicate effectively across hierarchies
• Experience with technology or financial services industry is a plus
