We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Relationship Manager to join our growing team. As a Relationship Manager, you will be responsible for the overall strategic direction, account management and commercial activities, within a defined portfolio of Tier 1 clients. You will also be responsible for retaining and growing existing revenue streams with a strong focus on cross-selling and upselling the Moody's Analytics suite of products and services.

What you will do:

Moody's suite of solutions and services are developed to ensure needs and specific issues faced by clients are met. As the Relationship Manager, your outreach is to enable a client's increase in the awareness, or interest to our solutions.

Along with your proven knowledge of industry practices, you will act as the market and product/service specialist during the sales cycle by bringing insight, product expertise and process management skills. You will use this insight to link client needs or challenges to engage the relevant subject matter authority, sales specialist and/or other internal sales enablement resources. This will be an opportunity for you to serve as a significant leader in the development of the future products and services extensions, improvements, and marketing strategy.

Additionally, this role requires organically enlarging our revenue footprint and increasing product penetration among a defined remit of clients. Moody's Analytics sales force is organized to emphasize a team sales culture. Relationship Managers are charged with defining and performing their portfolio business plan, as well as leading sales strategies, which includes leading a team of Sales Reps and Solutions Specialists, Finance and Legal representatives to articulate and demonstrate Moody's Analytics' value proposition in the context of our clients' needs. As a Relationship Manager, you will be expected to find new opportunities, direct sales specialists, and lead contract negotiations on behalf of Moody's Analytics.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, or a related business field, is preferred.
  • Experience working within or selling into Government, Public Sector or Corporates.
  • At least 8 years' sales and/or relationship management experience within the Corporate Services Sector
  • Experience in company information/data SaaS solutions, as well as, having an in-depth understanding of the various applications of these solutions across an organization.
  • Proven track record of sales capability
  • A credit or capital markets background would be preferred, but not required
  • A solid demonstrated understanding of the financial markets
  • Excellent communication, relationship building, interpersonal and organizational skills are a prerequisite
  • You're a self-sufficient contributor to client meetings and can effectively communicate value propositions in spontaneous client phone calls. You can present high-level information as well as detailed demonstrations of your responsible products & services.
  • As success will depend on how well Moody's Analytics solutions meet the customer needs, excellent verbal/written communication and presentation skills are required.
  • Must be a strong, outstanding colleague to harness knowledge/market intelligence and internal skills to assist with prospecting new sales/closing of sales cycle.
  • Excellent time management/organizational skills to work in a fast paced, sophisticated, and diverse environment.
  • Creative problem-solving skills and ability to diagnose issues and develop solutions.
  • Ability to multitask and meet short deadlines.
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team environment, with focus and high attention to detail.
