Responsibilities
You will be part of a highly credible team where you will support the investment process by conducting in-depth fundamental analysis as well as thorough financial modelling of companies, primarily in Korea and Taiwan. Collaborating with the portfolio manager, you will monitor the companies in the portfolio, and be aware of company events and sector trends that may have expected impact on company valuations. You will keep abreast of business trends, competition and regulatory changes impacting the geographies and sectors covered. Additionally, you will contribute to discussions on sectors and companies covered by other team members, promoting an open culture of debating ideas. You will get to present to the investment committee on potential and existing investments, and macro / capital markets themes.
Requirements
You have strong academic qualifications and 4 - 7 years of equity research experience, covering Asia ex-Japan as a generalist including Korea and/or Taiwan. Expertise covering technology equities in Korea and/or Taiwan is a strong advantage. You are technically proficient, are able to build complex financial models, conduct detailed financial analysis and adopt a bottoms up, deep dive and long-term investment philosophy. You are passionate about investments and are able to articulate these ideas through your strong communication skills. A self-driven individual, you enjoy working in an entrepreneurial and collaborative environment.
