The Team:
It is an exciting time to be joining S&P Global. Following the successful close of S&P Global's merger with IHS Markit in March 2022, there is a significant program of work to integrate the new combined company's systems and technologies.

Our Digital Technology Services (DTS/TSG) IT Project Management team works with a wide range of technologies, uses their expertise to resolve divergent issues, and implements innovative solutions to support these integration and transformation initiatives and BAU work. We provide project leadership and support, expertise and mentorship for each of these initiatives.

The Impact:
This role has a direct impact for the end users from all business units. While some of these impacts are visible, many may be behind the scenes and yet critical for business operations.

Reporting to the Digital Workplace Experience program/project portfolio team lead, you will drive large cross functional projects that directly benefit our 40,000+ end-user colleague base and community globally.

You will work with a talented team of application and service owners, engineers, subject matter experts and other Project Managers to ensure the successful delivery of key initiatives and projects. You will build positive relationships with internal partners and will maintain good communication with stakeholders via regular project updates.

Responsibilities:
• Deliver several large scale technology projects, in parallel, within the constraints of scope, time and cost to agreed levels of quality, within the organization's project management framework
• Manage the product/program/project from initiation through delivery, providing direction as needed.
• Manage and oversee cross-functional teams/projects, stakeholder management, budgets, resourcing, etc.
• Implement strategic procedures and policies when selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
• Execute project plans and performance requirements, ensuring team has appropriate resources to achieve project goals.
• Lead projects and project teams providing guidance on highly complex problems to project members and vendor resources.
• Manage and lead projects from project initiation to project close by:
• Working with stakeholders to define project objectives and timeframes
• Collaborating with partners across a global organization
• Identifying, tracking and managing inbound and outbound dependencies and risks
• Follow processes and operational policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
• Frequently interact with subordinate supervisors, internal customers, and functional peer group managers, involving matters between functional areas.
• Work on issues of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of a variety of factors, including an understanding of current business trends.
• Working with functional managers to coordinate staffing (in the form of resource planning, forecasting, and recruiting) to align with project requirements
• Effectively managing and resolving project team conflicts
• Preparing, maintaining, and tracking progress against the project plan
• Following standard project processes, preparing proper documentation for key gates and providing required monthly reports against appropriate project metrics
• Adjusting process to best serve the project needs
• Working independently and at times supervising vendors and more junior team members and making appropriate project-related decisions
• Collaborate with members of the team to execute on strategic business initiatives
• Negotiate across boundaries internal/external to DTS to achieve project objectives
• Identify and recommend strategies to enhance/improve product development practices & project management over time

What We're Looking For:
• Bachelors' degree in related field required, Master's degree preferred.
• 12+ years of related work experience, to include technology PM experience, ideally for a Financial Services, Data Provider or Regulated company.
• Experience leading large-scale cross functional digital workplace projects, including ServiceNow experience
• Strong project management experience in related industry with demonstrated achievements in planning, directing, and implementing multiple and concurrent large scale complex projects
• Excellent Project Management Governance
• Excellent written and verbal English communications skills
• Able to translate technology issues and solutions into business terms
• Exhibit strong diplomacy skills while persuading and influencing teammates to execute common project goals
• Strong negotiating, influencing, and conflict resolution skills
• Able to work under pressure and make rational decisions based on facts and think outside the box
• Ability to independently set priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment, and easily shift priority where needed and proactively drive change
• Ability to work in a collaborative environment and build strong relationships at all levels in the organization
• Recognized Project Management qualification such as SAFe, PMP or Prince2
• Good at building business relationships and working with internal teams without disrupting relationships and still getting what you need
• Ability to work effectively with diverse styles, skills, and abilities and across cultures
• Has in-depth knowledge of project management and IT processes and strategies and broad understanding of S&P Global businesses to best provide support.
• Strong user of MS Project, Visio, PowerPoint, Excel

Compensation/Benefits Information (US Applicants Only):
S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $104,000 to $160,000 . Base salary ranges may vary by geographic location.
