As a Barclays Securitised Product Solutions Associate, you will be joining the private side Securitised Products Solutions team, to assist with the origination and execution of both private and public market securitised financing solutions for clients. You will be focused primarily on NPL's (Non Performing Loans) & CRE (Commercial Real Estate) within a dynamic and successful team.

This role is deemed as a Certified role under the PRA & UK Financial Conduct Authority - Individual Accountabilities Regulations and may require the role holder to hold mandatory regulatory qualifications or the minimum qualifications to meet internal company benchmarks.

Hybrid Working
We are currently operating in a hybrid working environment, meaning that many colleagues spend part of their working hours at home and part in the office, depending on the nature of the role they are in. Please discuss the detail of the working pattern options for the role with the hiring manager.

What will you be doing?
• Focusing on the execution of originated deals, as well the analysis of potential new opportunities
• Working with external clients and a wide range of internal stakeholders to ensure efficient project management
• Interacting with rating agencies in order to optimise execution efficiency, as well as supporting credit analysis for Barclays-funded facilities
• Working collaboratively with colleagues to analyse potential opportunities from an economic point of view and analyse return on capital
• Providing analytical support of origination within Securitised Products and with partner teams across Barclays to ensure efficient and well-run transaction execution
• You will be involved in the day to day execution work within deal teams, as well as broad contribution to the goals of the wider team

What we're looking for:
• An ability to work closely with our stakeholders and support partners to develop best-in-class structures and transactions in relation to Commercial Real Estate & Non Performing Loans
• A demonstrated keen interest in European structured finance, real estate and non-performing loans markets and willingness to learn
• Previous experience working within an investment bank/financial institution
• Excellent analytical skills and high attention to detail

Skills that will help you in the role:
• Excellent interpersonal skills and confidence in engaging with external clients and internal partners such as Investment Banking and Markets colleagues
• Expertise in Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Prior experience of working in real estate financing teams is desirable
