About our client
Our client has one of the best-realized track records in the European market, with a mid-market strategy focused on Benelux and the DACH region.
The firm’s rapidly growing, young team currently consists of around 100 investment & operations professionals at over 10 locations in Europe and actively supports companies with entrepreneurial experience, transaction expertise and financial resources.
Together with its portfolio companies, our client is paving the way to becoming the market leader in the respective segment, investing along the four megatrends of demographic change, outsourcing & digitization, leisure & luxury, and sustainability. The clear investment focus is on medium-sized companies that are active in fragmented markets with positive long-term prospects.
As each of its portfolio companies produces data from a variety of processes and applications, the effective combination, analysis and interpretation of this data offers significant optimization and growth opportunities.
Therefore, our client is looking to hire a technically strong Data & Analytics Manager to become part of the value creation team, to complement both the investment team as well as the management of its portfolio companies.
What the job involves
  • Definition and specification of data-driven value creation strategies and support in building a sustainable data basis for the portfolio companies
  • Integration and combination of essential financial, commercial, and operational data as well as the analysis and derivation of concrete recommendations for actions regarding the following (a.o.):
    • Improved customer offering in product and services as well as the clients geographic footprint
    • Optimization of marketing, sales, and customer retention processes
    • Improvement of production process efficiency
  • Support of cross-portfolio scaling tool development processes and data-based optimization options (e.g. predictive maintenance, big data analysis of patient data, determination of the attractiveness of local markets regarding geographical expansion, etc.)
Who we are looking for
  • Previous professional experience in data analytics/engineering, ideally gained at a top-tier strategy consultancy or within the industry
  • Distinguished academic performance in the field of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics); an MBA or additional business administration specialization is a plus
  • High-caliber skills in one or more data tools/programming languages (e.g. Python, R, SQL, dbt) and visualization options (e.g. Tableau, Looker, Power BI)
  • Outstanding business judgement
  • Proven track record in identifying operational, data-driven improvements
  • Pragmatic, self-determined, entrepreneurial personality with a high degree of proactivity and autonomy
  • Highly ambitious, passionate, flexible, and motivated manner with a willingness to travel
  • Native level proficiency in German and English is a must
