The Australian Prudential Regulation Authority (APRA) is looking for an experienced communications professional to join our Corporate Affairs team.
We are seeking a dynamic all-rounder with outstanding writing skills, as well as experience in digital communications and social media. You will be just as comfortable drafting a speech or media release as developing engaging social media content.
Ideally you will have a background in financial services or business journalism, with the ability to research and understand technical matters across banking, insurance and superannuation, and communicate to industry and the public in clear, plain English. A track record in creating engaging communications content will also be highly valued.
Reporting to APRA's External Communications Manager, you will possess the ability to work independently to deliver high-quality output on schedule, but also be a team player who willingly puts up their hand to help colleagues in busy times.
In return, we offer a competitive salary as well as a friendly, flexible and family-friendly working environment with a commitment to promoting inclusion and diversity.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop and build their communications skills while working for an organisation with a strong sense of purpose and a mandate to protect the financial wellbeing of the Australian community.
The role is based in Sydney or Brisbane but APRA will consider strong applicants from any city other where we have an office: Melbourne, Adelaide and Canberra.
Please attach examples of written and digital work (media releases, articles, speeches, social media posts, etc) to your application.
