eFX Sales take a deep dive approach into understanding the liquidity, execution and integration/workflow requirements of our clients to deploy the most appropriate electronic solutions available.The role is heavily client facing and works in close partnership with traditional voice sales to ensure the best holistic client sales experience possible.
eFX Sales are expected to work closely with the FX Product teams to ensure Citi consistently develops and offers our clients best in class solutions.It is imperative that a successful eFX salesperson has a deep understanding of market liquidity and be comfortable analyzing data and pricing models in order to partner with trading to ensure that we maintain an optimal commercial client relationship.

eFX Sales are responsible for the eCommerce PnL for their client base and will be required to travel internationally for client business. eFX Sales will have exposure to a wide variety of client segments including: hedge funds, systematic funds, banks, neo banks, fintechs, asset managers, sovereign wealth and wealth managers.

This is a rapidly changing financial landscape and it is vital that eFX Sales remain agile, adaptable and able to recognize new opportunities as the market evolves and the digital revolution develops.

Daily responsibilities
The role is diverse and daily responsibilities cover the full range of a sales life cycle from origination to optimization.Some key activities of a FX eSales person include:
  • Daily communication with clients, identifying and deploying electronic FX solutions
  • Partnering with a wide number of internal teams to prospect, identify and onboard new opportunities
  • Analyze client trading data and work with trading on optimal pricing parameters
  • Work with product team to ensure that Citi continue to be a class leader and staying abreast of the market trends and developments

Required skill set
Whilst the role is dependent on technology, this remains a relationship-based sales role.Key attributes required:
  • 3 years of relevant FX experience in a sales facing role
  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills
  • Keen interest in digitalization of markets
  • Entrepreneurial outlook
  • Strong team ethic
  • Languages:English with preference for additional Mandarin & Cantonese languages
