The banker will be a member of the UK FIG FinTech Corporate Banking team within BCMA and will take responsibility as support Banker for the origination of new clients, and as primary for a number of important client relationships in the UK. The banker will also be required to contribute to industry specialist support for Fintech clients across EMEA, supporting the local teams in the coverage of these clients by sharing industry content and providing industry expertise in financing transactions.
The overall objective of this role is to deepen client relationships and drive revenue by providing industry content and cross selling the Citi platform while efficiently deploying the firm's capital and evaluating and managing risk.
Responsibilities:
  • Partner with Senior Bankers to provide overall relationship management support for Fintech clients
  • Lead the day to day execution of transactions and related analysis in the EMEA region
  • Responsible for staying abreast of market and industry trends, "best practices" and competitive landscape
  • Develop leading edge industry content
  • Implement calling plans to ensure business development is pursued across the client base.
  • Work in partnership with the full range of product businesses within Citi
  • Support country and senior industry bankers in cross-selling full spectrum of products and services by identifying customer needs to generate revenue
  • Develop a strong relationship with in-country franchises, risk managers and product partners across EMEA
  • Responsible for providing guidance to associates and analysts to help support their development
Qualifications:
  • Corporate Banking background where the candidate will have gained first class training and development as a banker
  • Strong financial modelling, credit skills and credit background
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong planning, negotiation, organizational and analytical skills
  • Experience managing large corporate clients
  • Knowledge of Institutional Banking products such as DCM, ECM, FX, Commodities, Derivatives, TTS
  • Second languages welcomed, with relevance for EMEA region
Education:
  • Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience, MBA or Master's Degree in Business preferred
