Join our highly successful and growing Commodities business as an Analyst level Metals Trader, based in our London office.
If you've gained some experience working in a trading or markets environment, possess a degree in Mathematics, Engineering or Quantitative Finance with a high level of academic achievement, then this opportunity may allow you to take the next step in your career. You will work in our Commodities and Markets Finance Division of our Commodities and Global Markets Group and join a team of highly-skilled traders and market professionals.
To be considered, you will need to demonstrate a stable work history to date, have gained 1-2 years' experience in a trading or markets environment, hold a degree in Mathematics, Engineering or Quantitative Finance and bring a proven level of capability in spreadsheeting and programming skills (Python/C++/VB will be highly advantageous) to help further develop the desk's risk analytics. You'll need to understand Options, Forwards and Futures.
Your Initial Responsibilities Will Be To
With your market experience to date, you will able to sustain high levels of performance when under pressure and often accompanied by short deadlines. The ability to prioritise your day-to-day activities and projects, pay attention to the detail, be capable of building relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels will be essential. Your confident interpersonal style, enthusiasm and motivation will play a major part in your success in this role as will sound judgement and problem-solving skills. As a global business, at times, you may be required to provide support across shifts.

- assist the members of the trading team in day-to-day procedures and trading administration including but not limited to rolling customer positions, booking deals, coordinating with back office, technology, risk and quant teams and ensuring deal set integrity
- PnL and position reporting
- maintain relationships with existing clients as well as seeking new relationships
- develop the skills required to execute trading strategies for the desk and a wide range of customers and across various products
- develop risk management, pricing and data analytics tools
