The Enterprise Monitoring and Automation team provides the tools and strategy to drive holistic end-to-end enterprise technology monitoring across a combination of people, process, and tools. We define and implement a comprehensive standardized set of 'best-of-breed' monitoring tools for use across the enterprise. Our team democratizes the monitoring data and federates dashboard configuration and events management. We are developing a modern automation platform using artificial intelligence and machine learning to facilitate automated issue resolution, faster triage and infrastructure management.

Role
  • As Infrastructure Engineer, you will be responsible for architecting and deploying enterprise monitoring solutions for the firms compute platforms.
  • This is a hands on role working with both open source and commercial software solutions, along with developing code to integrate these solutions with parts of the enterprise eco system.
  • Engineer and develop the firms Enterprise Prometheus monitoring infrastructure.
  • Engineer monitoring solution for Kubernetes based workloads.
  • Develop applications to support integration and automation of the monitoring eco system.
  • Develop rich visualizations in Grafana.
  • Collaborate across the teams and key stakeholder, with a mindset to continue to improve the offering.
  • Research and integrate new and emerging monitoring solutions.

Qualifications
  • BSc OR MSc in Computer Science or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience with enterprise monitoring tools and cloud native monitoring such as Prometheus.
  • 3+ years of experience in development using languages such as GoLang, Java or Python.
  • Understanding of Agile and other development processes and methodologies.
  • Experience with Docker/Kubernetes and should have deployed and supported container based applications.
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills and demonstrated ability to collaborate across teams and organizations.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
  • Experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Open Telemetry.
  • In-depth knowledge working with and managing Git (Bitbucket, Github, CodeCommit).
  • Experience using messaging technologies, Apache Kafka and IBM MQ.
  • Experience with UI technologies like Angular, JS.
  • Experience with Linux and Windows administration.
