The Director, Capital Markets Product Management is responsible for strategic and tactical planning, new product development, ongoing product improvements, pricing, sales promotion, and profit & loss management. This role is accountable for the following Capital Markets products: equities, exchanged-traded funds (ETFs), exchange-traded notes (ETNs), closed-end funds, options and third-party investment research. The Director will also lead product managers conducting competitive analysis, proposing product features and functionality, making pricing recommendations, mitigating compliance risk, and developing field implementation plans.

Responsibilities

  • Drives business results for Capital Markets product and project initiatives.
  • Exhibits collaboration and influencing skills with key business partners in Trading, Legal, Compliance, Service & Operations, Clearing, Elite Client Services, Experienced Advisor Recruiting, Risk Management, Anti-Money Laundering, Marketing Communications, Investment Research Group, and Centralized Supervision.
  • Displays business insight, makes sophisticated decisions, and generates creative solutions.
  • Is action-oriented and resourceful, ensuring accountability among self and staff.
  • Leads Capital Markets interaction with middle, senior, and executive leaders across the organization.
  • Leads one Senior Product Manager through effective coaching, feedback, and sound performance management practices.
  • Maintains direct accountability for achieving Capital Markets annual financial goals, including revenue generation, expense management, product profitability, and ROE.
  • Serves as point of contact for assessment and resolution of critical issues and exception requests from EAR Recruiting, Business Review Committee, AFIG (Institutional advisors/clients), and EAR and legacy advisors.
  • Ensures business unit compliance with all applicable compliance policies and regulatory obligations


Required Qualifications

  • Proven people leadership skills
  • Subject matter expertise in Capital Markets technology systems, operations, and service delivery
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proven organizational skills, including leading multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to think strategically, while being able to implement tactical plans
  • Active Series 7 license or the ability to acquire in 120 days


Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA preferred
  • Active Series 24 Registered Principal license preferred
