Job Description:

We are seeking a Lead Manager who will report into the Director of Global Institutional Accounting (GIA). GIA provides comprehensive portfolio accounting services for large corporate, government and non-profit organizations.

Manages a NAV production team responsible for complex General Ledger activities for Global Institutional Accounting (GIA). Ensures staff deliver useable, accurate and timely financial information from the point of transaction through financial close and finally to external reporting. Manages the team's transformation of data into information for reporting purposes. Reviews work papers and documentation for accuracy and completeness. May take part in assignments within the regional or global service center which cross accounting functions. Recruits, directs, motivates, and develops staff, maximizing their individual contribution, their professional growth, and their ability to function effectively as a team. Responsible for the performance management processes for direct reports.

Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Access, Excel / VBA programming knowledge a plus
  • Able to quickly learn and navigate within proprietary accounting, exception, and reporting systems
  • Solid understanding of daily accounting systems processing, workflow architecture, automation, and information delivery.


Business Skills:
  • Management Experience
  • Knowledge of Fund Accounting / Securities Processing

Education/Licenses/Certifications:

* Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required, preferably concentrated in Accounting or Finance

* Minimum 7 years of total work experience, with 1 year of management experience
