Role Summary &Role Description
Seeking an experienced IT Manager with 10+ years experience, specializing in Trading Floor Support or similar function. The Trading Floor Support Manager will lead a team responsible for day-to-day end user support for State Street's trading business divisions - Global Markets, Global Treasury and Global Advisors. The Trading Support technical staff provide dedicated end user support services, fulfilling end user requests including; PC deployments, application installations, application support/troubleshooting, relocation services, trader voice/call recording solutions and market data services in both the production and business recovery locations. The Trading Support staff also interface with internal teams across State Street and external vendors to provide a full-service support organization.

Create the Future
- At a regional level, set the strategic direction and communicate the vision for the team and organization
- Assist in developing long-term strategies and capacity planning for meeting future computer hardware needs. Build rapport and elicit problem details from customers.
- Stay current with the market to set the future direction for new business opportunities
- Hires and manages performance and development of staff; recommending salary increases, promotions and bonuses
- Continuously improve the way the team operates to provide world class service and support to a geographically diverse user base
- Work closely with cross-discipline senior managers to streamline operation and service provided
- Provide mentoring to team members, leading by example and striving to raise the bar of the skill level within the organization. Coaching and assisting staff and peers in their career development
- Guide team towards positive outcomes based on knowledge and technical abilities
- Take accountability for team actions and established business goals
- Ensure all teams have the necessary resources, authority and support required to achieve desired business results and goals
- Strong logical analysis and ability to propose tactical and strategic solutions
- Anticipate industry trends in team's area of expertise to remain at the cutting edge of the industry
- Introduce functional global best practices with the goal of improving overall efficiency in services and support being delivered across the organization
