- Wells Fargo is seeking an Environmental Social Governance (ESG) Investment Banking Analyst within the Financial Solutions Group focuses on supporting the generation of bespoke ESG content and idea creation for clients across Financial Institutions Group (FIG) and Corporate Banking (CBG).
- The role will support the Managing Director to provide analytical analysis to drive client engagement alongside Debt Capital Markets for EMEA Banking and Capital markets clients and will work alongside the team members within the Financial Solutions Group (FSG) to maximise client engagement and enhance revenue opportunities. The disciplines within FSG include Balance Sheet Advisory, Capital Advisory, Liability Management, Environmental Social Governance (ESG), Acquisition Finance, Ratings Advisory
- Responsible for delivering analytical analysis and content to clients in both the FIG and CBG segments. Emphasis on delivering relationship enhanced coverage is a must
- Working closely with the Head of FSG, Managing Director - ESG, FSG, DCM, relationship managers and other LOBs to determine develop content required to deliver results and enhance execution prospects - with a clear focus on revenue opportunities
- Proactively engaging with both internal and external stakeholders in order to identify, develop, and execute upon opportunities
- Responsible for working on client projects autonomously, from conceptualizing and generating analyses, evaluating the risks and opportunities, engaging with the appropriate internal coverage and product partners, and preparing the materials and delivering to clients.
- Experience in 3+ years of experience in Sustainable Finance. The successful candidate will be expected to work alongside specialists and client coverage groups to deliver both bespoke client content as well as thought pieces for general client distribution.
- Relevant Sustainable Finance / capital markets / corporate and investment banking industry experience
- Strong analytical skills required to provide detailed analysis
- Good working knowledge of Sustainable Finance concepts
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Willingness to take on significant responsibility
- Ability to articulate issues, risks, and proposed solutions to various levels
- Experience in producing marketing documents and pitch materials, including both client specific presentations and general information materials for broad distribution both internally and externally
- Desire to collaborate and partner with team members to deliver exceptional client content
- Understanding of banking regulations and structuring capital markets solutions designed to address regulatory requirements
- Enthusiasm and willingness to find solutions to complex financial problems
- Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Certified Person function under the FCA and PRA Certification Regime
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
