We have an excellent opportunity for a leader with a strong background supporting multi-project portfolios and strategic change to join Macquarie's Financial Management Group as a Senior Manager. The successful candidate would ideally have a background in the Finance function and Banking industry and be confident leading across teams and locations.

The purpose of Program management (PMO) and Strategy in Asia Finance is to deliver the dynamic transformation portfolio for Asia including mandatory and strategic initiatives, and to likewise lead key initiatives to enable the people and teams in Asia Finance to constantly adapt and improve their ways of working.

The Key Responsibilities of the Asia Finance Head of PMO & Strategy involves Program management & Strategy as well as People & Stakeholder Management . This means we are looking for someone who will own and continuously curate the Asia Finance transformation portfolio, including Finance process improvements, system enhancements, operating model updates, and people initiatives. You will directly lead and project manage high priority initiatives, taking into account team capacities, priorities, and delivery timelines. The role will require defining and driving effective engagement strategies to facilitate finance teams' understanding and buy-in to change and strategic initiatives. Your communication strategies will be relevant, resonant and compelling for impacted Asia finance teams and leadership and act as chair for the Asia Finance regional management committee.

A successful candidate will provide highly engaging and effective leadership to finance teams involved in projects and change and support Asia Finance leadership to issue effective communications and form strategic responses to intra and ex-group challenges and opportunities. The candidate will also collaborate with the Asia regional finance team and key subject matter experts to understand opportunities across the region and strategize how to effectively approach them. You will ensure timely and accurate communication to identified intragroup and cross-group stakeholders and manage cross group interactions (including at division director level) supporting Asia Finance initiatives.

The Asia Finance Head of PMO and Strategy is a senior role and requires an engaging leader, who can lead diverse teams through periods of ambiguity and communicate and resolve complex issues in a straightforward manner. You're a person who has the ability to prioritise and reprioritise based on changes in business requirements and complexity to be able to deliver and continue to make progress. Other requirements are: excellent project management skills with the ability to coach and upskill others involved in project management, and strong stakeholder management skills across Finance, IT, Risk, Business, and External consultant management. The candidate will also have the ability to coordinate multiple assignments and work independently with strong communication skills and ability to explain complex projects. In addition to this you're a highly motivated individual who can effectively manage competing priorities.

If you have previous success in Big 4 or MBB management consulting, this is of preference.

The candidate for this role will be on a 12 month fixed contract.
