Your new role
  • Provide technical support for business applications and Microsoft related technologies; Office 365, Windows Server and Active Directory.
  • Answer questions or resolve problems in person, via telephone, email or ticketing system.
  • Support for global remote connectivity solutions (RDS, Citrix, VPN).
  • Tier 1 technical support networking: WAN and LAN connectivity, switches, routers, firewalls, and security.
  • Respond to monitoring and alerting for company systems.
  • Purchase, track, configure and deploy hardware / software for end users including workstations, laptops and mobile devices.
  • Maintain existing business relationships with vendors / suppliers.
  • Assist with server and networking deployment and maintenance.
  • Maintain and develop documentation standard operating procedures, knowledge base articles, training materials
  • Ticket creation and management, including communication with users informing of incident progress, along with customer notification of impending changes and agreed outages.
  • Responsible for escalation of service or project issues that cannot be completed within service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Responsible for following all safety rules, policies, procedures and regulations, maintaining a safe workplace.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

What you'll need to succeed
  • Four-year degree in a relevant field or equivalent combination of education, certification and experience required.
  • Minimum two years of relevant experience in help desk/service desk role.
  • ITIL Foundation v3 or v4 certification preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft technologies; Office and Microsoft 365, Windows desktop, and server OSes.
  • Experience with utilizing PowerShell
  • Experience with utilizing Active Directory
  • Experience with utilizing a ITSM or ticketing system
  • Methodical troubleshooting and diagnosis skills, and ability to match resources to technical issues appropriately.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills with the ability to set priorities, meet deadlines and accomplish tasks.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills. Must be able to communicate effectively in a professional manner both verbally and in writing and work well in a team environment
