Operations is one of the largest divisions in the firm and has diverse responsibilities, including correctly settling and recording millions of transactions per day, identifying and mitigating all operational risks, developing strong client relationships and partnering with technology to realize the full potential of IT and e-solutions. Throughout, the Operations department continually seeks ways to improve while actively supporting the development of new businesses, structures and markets.
THE DEPARTMENT
This opportunity sits within the Asia Wealth Management Operations team based in Singapore. The Operations department is dynamic, fast paced, and growing. The Operations department sits directly with the AWM business unit and is directly connected into the entire AWM organization, therefore giving significant visibility for the Operations staff and constant opportunities to directly interaction face to face with our internal stakeholders.
Banking Operations opportunity:
Banking Operations is a diverse team and provides an opportunity for the successful candidate to gain exposure on a variety of products and knowledge. The role is part production based and part project oversight based, giving the candidate significant opportunity to upgrade their knowledge across both areas.
The team's role is focused mainly on the lifecycle management of our banking products: term loans and deposits for our UHNW client base and is also responsible for supporting several regulatory control process as well as the AML screening function for the same client base. The role itself is technical, so successful candidates must be have inherent interest in learning complex processing and inquisitive mindset.
The candidate in addition to performing the above function will also need to liaise with the front office business units, outside counterparties and global operations staff within the Firm to resolve queries and day to day issues. The candidate will be expected to analyze and improve processes, identify and manage risk and potentially guide junior members of the team. As such communication and organizational skills as well as attention to detail and a readiness to escalate issues with a sense of urgency are of upmost importance.
