Job Details
Primary Responsibilities:
- Monitor corporate action system (XSPrisa) for incomplete or in-conflict messages from our Custodian and vendors to create the golden copy of upcoming events. Ensure corporate action communications to and from Portfolio Management are accurate, complete and by stated deadline. Validate corporate action election responses to each Custodian. Monitor custodian postings to ensure corporate actions are processed timely. Ensure all corporate action events are processed correctly to our internal portfolio accounting system (Eagle) on a timely basis including those not processed through our corporate action system. Notify Portfolio Management when corporate actions are posted to the internal systems. Investigate any missing or differences in corporate action postings identified by our daily reconciliation process.
Other Responsibilities:
- Complete required paperwork and follow-up on more complex corporate actions related to bank loans, bankruptcies, and private transactions. Review custodian websites to help ensure all upcoming corporate action events are properly identified. Maintain and research both manual and automatic systems for appropriate dividend/income payments and accruals Complete necessary documentation related to class action litigations when our Funds and proprietary accounts are eligible. Review proxy voting summary reports to help ensure all meetings in proxy system (ProxyEdge) are voted timely. Review manually voted proxy ballots for case-by-case items directed by Portfolio Management. Participate in annual NP-X review as needed. Maintain detailed task procedures on all assigned responsibilities Special projects as needed
Preferred Qualifications:
- 4-year undergraduate degree preferably in a business-related discipline 5+ years experience in a back office / middle office investment advisor with focus on Corporate Actions Experience with both voluntary and mandatory corporate action events Experience with corporate actions processed outside a corporate action system Strong organizational and analytical skills High attention to detail required Good verbal and written communication skills Proficient with Excel and Bloomberg Must be able to work effectively independently as well as in a team Experience with XSPrisa corporate action system or Eagle portfolio accounting system preferred
