About the role

As a Data Governance Manager, you will be a member of the Credit Portfolio Management and Provisioning team, where you will play an important role in assisting with the management of data governance in the Credit Risk domain.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with other teams in driving consistent data governance practices and implementation
  • Monitoring data-related issues in the Credit Risk domain, as well as driving accountability and actions to address data issues/control gaps in compliance with the data risk management framework
  • Provide guidance and support to ensure data under governance practices are implemented and tracked
  • Supporting the Senior Manager under the Credit Risk Divisional Data Owner with credit risk data governance in accordance with the regulations outlined in APRA CPG 235
  • Work with stakeholders to understand their needs and mature their data governance capabilities
  • Embed a continuous improvement mindset within the team to achieve operational efficiency and growth
  • Analysing and maintaining credit risk data governance documents
About You
  • Working knowledge of data risk management and CPG 235
  • A strong risk mindset and ability to make independent risk-based decisions
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to influence and support team members and stakeholders
  • Experience working in a governance, data management or credit risk role within the financial services sector
  • Understanding of credit risk management or operational risk management would be highly regarded
  • A team-orientated mindset and a collaborative approach who thrives in a fast-paced, vibrant, and high demand environment
