Vida Fund Advisor

Investor Relations & Capital Raising Associate

Location: Lisbon

Type: Full time

Requirement: Fluency in Spanish & English

Vida Fund is a Portuguese Regulated private equity fund (pending CMVM approval) focused on investing in sustainable hospitality real estate companies/ projects.

Vida Fund is born out of the desire to foster a purposeful and sustainable way of living. We believe in the power of capital as an enabler to create physical spaces where like-minded individuals can come together to live inspiring lives.

After spending our careers in the intersection of hospitality, sustainable infrastructure, and fund management in Europe, Latin America and the US, we have decided to build a vehicle to enable projects we want to see in the world.

The shared vision of the Fund’s advisory team is to focus on extraordinary projects with a triple bottom line approach (profit, society, and environment). Vida Fund will invest in companies focusing on real estate projects with three main strategies; (1) post-permitted ground-up development, (2) real estate assets requiring repair and refurbishment, and (3) operating hospitality projects.

The Fund’s LPs are targeted at Golden Visa investors, mainly in Latin America and the US. These investors are usually private investors looking to invest 500,000 Euros in the fund and receive a return on their investment as well as a European residency permit and eventually access to a Portuguese passport.

The Role:

Vida is looking for an Investor Relations Associate who will play an active role in capital raising and liaising with investors during the life of the fund. As a newly launched private equity fund, we recognize that a critical piece to our successful long-term growth lies in someone with superb stakeholder management skills and execution skills necessary for communicating clearly with potential investors.

Scope of Responsibilities

During the capital raising term the main responsibilities for the position are:

  • Support preparing the fund’s marketing material for the different fundraising channels to facilitate communication with potential investors.
  • Support preparing the fundraising strategy - channels, process flows, allocation of responsibilities, CRM software, etc.
  • Plan fundraising roadshows (marketing, budgets, itineraries, etc.).
  • Presenting the investment opportunity to potential investors through a first introductory call, collective Webinars, or in person meetings.
  • Coordinating and participating in follow-up investor meetings with fund partners’, lawyers, and golden visa service providers, as applicable.
  • Managing all on-going relationships with potential investors.
  • Taking full responsibility and ownership of the CRM
  • Responding to investor information requests and compiling all necessary due diligence material for the onboarding process of the investor with the different stakeholders: fund managers, banks, lawyers, GV service providers.
  • Collaborating with and supporting the fund’s global fundraising team,
  • Representing the fund in a positive light at various conferences and investors road trips.

During the life of the fund the main responsibilities for the position are:

  • Develop investor confidence, being the main contact person for investors.
  • Create and manage a strong reputation by demonstrating consistent and clear communication between internal and external parties.
  • Prepare, together with STAG (fund manager), reporting & communications to the investors.
  • Responsible for overseeing and managing update calls/webinars with investors.
  • Providing feedback to the team on the main key points raised by the potential investors. Strategize with the team members on enhancing the investors experience – in particular to increase word of mouth recommendations.

Qualifications:

The job requires a corporate professional who also has sales and client management skills and looks to the future with optimism to envision what could be possible. Success in this role requires communication, organized and diligent project management, leadership, and vision.

Qualifications desired are:

  • A Bachelor's degree is required, with a preference for candidates concentrating in real estate, law, finance, and/or accounting.

  • In depth knowledge with all Microsoft Offices products (in particular, PowerPoint and Excel).
  • Experience working for Golden Visa funds (or equivalent for US visa programs) or the commercial estate industry is a plus.
  • Team player with the ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks and effectively meet deadlines, in an entrepreneurial environment.
  • Outstanding level of attention to detail, accountability, integrity and ethics.
