A London market insurance broker is looking for an experienced, senior Management Accountant following period of rapid growth for a 6-9 month contract. The role will work on a hybrid model between home-based working with a couple of days a week in their London office. You will be supporting the Finance Manager within the following areas:
To be considered for this role you'll need to be a qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA) with broad experience gained in a financial services organisation. You will need to be extremely organised and comfortable being able to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
Given the nature of the organisation, there will be potential for this role to move to a permanent position in the future, however you will need to be immediately available or on a short notice period.
- Producing the balance sheet lead schedules for all balance sheet accounts and agreeing these back to the relevant control accounts
- Ensuring that all aspects of month end checklist relating to acquisitions (not core) are complete and signed off on a monthly basis
- Working closely with the AP team to ensure purchase ledger is closed on time and that any late invoice accruals are captured.
- maintaining a breakdown of the cost of investment for each acquisition and reconciling this back to the information provided by the M&A team.
- Maintenance of the general ledger in Access Dimensions and setting up new COA structure for each acquisition
- Producing monthly spend analysis for the relevant budget holders and identifying any spend which requires review / further investigation
- Responsible for reviewing the P&L and Balance Sheet to understand variances to budget and any other movements
- Assistance with pulling together financial information for inclusion in the group RMAR
- Working closely with the Financial Accountant to deal with audit queries / manage audit requests and liaise with the group audit team as appropriate
