What will you be doing?

• On behalf of a global financial services organization, analyze credit data, risk, and financial data to manage securitized lending portfolio and maintain oversight of material trading and financing activities across specialty finance counterparties including mortgage real estate investment trusts.
• Prepare credit reviews for internal risk management by reviewing counterparties from credit risk standpoint.
• Conduct residential-focused securitization analysis techniques across Residential Mortgage Backed Securities (RMBS) asset class.
• Liaise with support functions across investment bank and corporate bank for legal, compliance, and operations considerations in support of approving and managing credit risk associated with clients.
• Analyze risks of finance and production trading and negotiate financial and non-financial covenants to be enacted through legal documentation.
• Establish transaction, mortgage lending limits, and trading limits.
• Perform on-site operational and financial due diligence of clients.
• Prepare and analyze credit proposals for new and existing clients.
• Interface with bankers and traders to provide structuring oversight.
• Contribute towards policy and process improvement initiatives.
• Prepare periodic sector research reports to assess industry trends.

What we're looking for:

Must have a minimum of Bachelor's degree (3 or 4 year degree acceptable), or foreign equivalent, in Business, Finance, Commerce, Management or related field and at least five (5) years of post-baccalaureate experience as a Credit Analyst, Credit Officer, Credit Risk Specialist or a related occupation within the investment banking or financial services industry. In the alternative, will accept any level of education and at least seven (7) years of experience in above referenced occupations within the investment banking or financial services industry. Must have any amount of employment experience with each of the following required skills: Leveraging securitized products knowledge to analyze risk associated with underlying collateral; Financial analysis to analyze creditworthiness of counterparties and set financing limits; Negotiation covenants and terms regarding counterparty financial viability; Leveraging knowledge of mortgage industry to ascertain risks and drivers of U.S. mortgage industry; Risk management including analyzing market risk, liquidity risk, credit risk, operational risk, and regulatory risk; Bloomberg, SNL, and Factiva to collage industry data and prepare sector report; Preparing and overseeing documentation for credit decisions, including credit memos, detailed financial forecasts, and credit risk rating models; Overseeing portfolio monitoring across counterparties.

Where will you be working?

You will be working at our American Headquarters at 745 Seventh Avenue. This 37-story office tower is located in Times Square in the heart of Manhattan and features a cafeteria, fitness center and state-of-the-art LED signage on the façade of the building. The building is easily accessible to Restaurants, Shops and Public Transportation.
