This position will play a key role in the monthly reporting and analysis, budget, forecasting, and partnering with operational/business leaders on variance analysis & trending.
This role will report to the VP of Finance and is ideally located in California or other Pacific Time zone locations.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist with planning, budget creation, and implementing fiscal year plans and forecasts
- Forecast and tracking budget P&L and Balance Sheet items and supporting schedules (collaborate with department managers while aligning with global corporate initiatives).
- Produce and analyze internal cost center financials using SAP and Excel.
- On a recurring basis (monthly/quarterly), develop presentation materials and present cost center reporting insights, trends, and observations to multiple relevant business leaders.
- Create the financial review and final management financial reporting package.
- Analyze financial data and developing financial models and cost projections. Update models for actuals and planning analysis
- Create reports and updates based on data analysis, to develop analytical models in Excel and fulfill data requests.
- Conduct cost analyses, benchmarking, and risk assessments, to provide insights for cost-saving recommendations
- Proactively evaluate Finance processes and systems, along with identifying and implementing process improvement opportunities
- Perform other ad hoc Finance projects as needed
Experience/Skills:
- 4+ years of professional finance experience. Demonstrate experience applying analytical skills to research, interpret, analyze, compile, and present financial data and information.
- A bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, or a related field; master's degree or higher preferred
- Certified Public Accountant certification preferred
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and relevant accounting software and platforms
- Willingness to take on additional projects and responsibilities as needed. Ability to balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines with limited supervision
- Experience in effective communication skills, both written and verbal to deliver financial briefings, documentation, reports and financial advice
- Ability to work independently to identify problems early and explore possible solutions. Thrive in a high performance, fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
- Experience with SAP by Design and Zuora
