We are looking for Data Analysis / Data Science professional to join our Tampa team where you will work on a variety of projects supporting our Investment Banking clients from our brand-new Service Delivery Centre.

About the role

The scope and nature of the projects on which you'll work will vary however, examples of duties/responsibilities include:
  • Working on projects for top tier investment banking clients, with a strong focus on the business process and data flows
  • Developing an understanding the business at a detailed level, understanding processes, systems landscape, data flows and critical data elements
  • Working with the business to ensure data quality remains high, understanding priorities as regards data and ensuring robust data management processes are implemented
  • Engaging with stakeholders across the bank
  • Utilizing in depth Excel techniques (Macros, VBA, PivotTables etc.) to analyze and understand data
  • Producing high quality reporting to management, covering priorities, tasks, actions and status
  • Collaborating within the team and across the organization to align on data usage and priorities
  • Acting as conduit between the business and technology to create a shared view
  • Use of data analytics solutions such as Python, or data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI will be an advantage


Who are we looking for?

Qualifications & Experience
  • A 2.1 degree in a Finance, Legal or STEM subject
  • 3-7 years' experience of working on professional services projects (Ideally for Investment Bank or a Big 4 consulting firm, relevant experience within other professional industries would be acceptable)
  • Strong Excel and spreadsheet management skills are essential, with experience with advanced techniques such as PivotTables, VLOOKUPs, Macros, VBA etc.
  • Very good functional knowledge of at least one of the following areas within an investment bank: Sales/Trading, Risk, or Finance
  • Good understanding of investment banking organizations, processes and platforms
  • Able to operate at both high level and also at low level of detail
  • Strong affinity for data and a good understanding of best practice for ensuring high data quality in processes
  • Strong MS Office skills (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
  • Excellent communication skills, comfortable engaging with management and stakeholders, business and technology
  • Knowledge of some trading products (FX, IR, Equities, Credit, Derivatives etc)
  • Data Analysis - Able to understand and analyze large amounts of data quickly and efficiently
  • Data Visualization - Able to present data in understandable format to senior stakeholders
