The Role

Take ownership of assigned products and generate associated product contents, including the structure, asset class, investment strategies, etc.

Key Accountabilities
  • Establish policies and procedures for private banking products, be responsible for the product management including but not limited to new product approval, product marketing, annual review as well as counterparty management
  • Establish and maintain relations with counterparties and to liaise on ISDA/CSA and distribution agreements
  • Conduct Product Due Diligence and assign Product Risk Rating according to the Bank's framework and regulatory requirements across multiple asset classes for new/existing products
  • Explore suitable investment products and strategies that can enrich product shelf to enhance client experience, with timely update on market information to sales staff
  • Monitor trading/counterparty exposure and managing product life-cycle events, e.g. payoffs verification, early termination, integration of fixings, etc.
  • Maintain best practice execution on all trades and ensure the desk is always providing best execution service to RM
  • Keep close track of markets and employ dynamically hedge risks against various potential market movements
  • Take ownership of new system implementation and any future system enhancement for Private Banking products
  • Support and provide timely and accurate product price quotations, order placing for PB RM including Best Execution practice for Private Banking
  • Monitor the performance of all the outstanding structured products and to handle the daily operation in relation to the structured products
  • Prepare various kinds of reports, especially Product Performance and risk exposure Report to PB Management
  • Provide operational and technical support to all assigned products and to take up ad hoc assignment when required

Skills & Experience

  • At least bachelor degree holder, preferably Master degree in Finance, Financial Engineering, or Quantitative analysis
  • HKSI Paper 1, 2, 7, 8 or equivalent, CFA or FRM preferred
  • 15 years or more relevant working experiences in product marketing, preferably in private banks or wealth management
  • In-depth knowledge in equity, option pricing, fixed income, structured product, and other wealth management products with deep understanding of financial structuring and pricing dynamics regarding different asset classes such as equity, bond, and derivatives. Has concrete knowledge in investment products such as structured products, mutual funds, hedge funds, ETFs, PE/VC funds and other alternative investment products, including full life cycle of product management
  • Technical trading experience on major investment products, including equity or currency linked structured products, mutual funds, corporate bonds and common option strategies
  • Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese; fluency in Chinese mandarin is an advantage
