The Role

Private banking new product and product maintenance role.

Key Accountabilities
  • Assist the Product Marketing Team Head to establish internal policies and rules for private banking investment products, and be responsible for the whole life cycle work for the entire product line, including but not limited to new product approval, product marketing, custody management, annual review, order placement, market data analysis, as well as counterparty management
  • Conduct issuer and Product Due Diligence("PDD") and Product Risk Rating ("PRR") according to the Bank's framework and regulatory requirements across multiple asset classes for new/existing products and on-going basis
  • Manage PDD and PRR documents regarding Private Banking products, including regular controls
  • Assist in completing KYL and AML onboarding process required by investment banks, 3rd party fund houses or relevant counterparties on behalf of BOCIL
  • Assist to develop business requirements on projects including drafting of new product approval, relevant workflows, operational manuals, control procedures, to perform gap analysis, to perform system enhancement in compliance with relevant regulatory standards and requirements
  • Support other relevant teams on new system implementation and any future system enhancement
  • Support Head of Product Marketing in handling negotiations and agreements with counterparties
  • Perform risk mitigation measures for PB related products
  • Assist Head of Product Marketing on day-to-day risk, regulatory and compliance issues associated with all execution matters
  • Handle day to day management on controls related to products
  • Prepare business statistics and reports for management reviews according to PM team
  • Provide support in product launch, and running marketing campaigns
  • Provide support in ad hoc projects as assigned

Skills & Experience

  • University Bachelor or Master graduate, major in Finance, Financial Engineering, or Quantitative analysis
  • HKSI Paper 1, 2,7,8 or equivalent, CFA or FRM preferred
  • Minimum 8 years in investment product management and development experience
  • Concrete knowledge in equity, option pricing, fixed income, structured product, and other wealth management products
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks and analysis situations
  • Able to communicate effectively, attention to details with strong organizational and time management
  • Strong compliance mind set
  • Strong in project management and presentation
  • Good knowledge of PC application software including Excel, PowerPoint and Visual Basic is preferred
  • Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese; fluency in Putonghua is an advantage
