About this role

The BlackRock Alternative Specialists Group (BAS) works with BlackRock's clients, investment teams, relationship managers and other business teams to grow BlackRock Alternative Investors by providing private market investment solutions to meet clients' investment needs.

Job Purpose/Background:

The Analyst will be responsible for supporting the execution of the BAS and Sales strategy. Additionally, the Analyst will assist with some of the broader business activity around the BAS and Sales businesses (i.e. Industry data collection, engagements with Asset Class specialists in Private Equity, Private Credit, Real Assets, etc.)

Responsibilities include:
  • Developing product and market proficiency across BlackRock's alternative product suite.
  • Partnering with relationship managers and senior BAS team members to drive new business opportunities. This includes preparing meeting materials, gathering critical client background information ahead of client engagement, liaising with clients, documenting engagement in our CRM system, and providing sales support on follow-up and due diligence efforts.
  • Assisting with prospect mapping and research by helping to identify target prospects and owning the prospect pipeline per product.
  • Supporting targeted roadshows aligned with the sales campaign.
  • Understanding and helping to manage the sales collateral needed for alternative sales, including crafting targeted sales enablement tools.
  • Partnering with BlackRock's Global Consultant Relations Team on consultant engagement to ensure alignment with target prospects.
  • Partnering with Marketing to help design high impact events and determine appropriate conference participation. Focus of these engagements is to build commercial opportunities.
  • Partnering with internal teams to onboard clients and respond to client service requests.


Skills/Qualifications:
  • Strong organization skills and attention to detail
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, both in English and Spanish
  • Self-starter who responds promptly to internal and external requests
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Understanding of financial markets and the alternative investment space
  • Motivated to develop sales skills
